 We are looking for two enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our friendly and well established team. These two fixed term positions for 10.5 hours a week each and Term Time only.  There is potential for flexibility for the right candidate and the possibility of job sharing.  Vacancy 1: Tuesday & Thursday working in Key Stage 1 (5 – 7 years)

We are looking for someone with:

  • recent experience of working with children in Key Stage One in a Primary School
  • a good written standard of English & Maths
  • a willingness to undertake additional training
  • skills of empathy, listening, communication and responding with appropriate language to build rapport with children
  • confidence to support children with complex needs in their personal care
  • a flexible, adaptable and positive attitude to working in a structured environment
  • good communication skills to promote and develop effective working with pupils and colleagues

 Vacancy 2: Wednesday & Thursday working in Key Stage 2 (7 – 11 years)

We are looking for someone with:

  • experience of working with children
  • a good written standard of English & Maths
  • a willingness to undertake additional training
  • skills of empathy, listening, communication and responding with appropriate language to build rapport with children
  • confidence to support children with complex needs in their personal care
  • a flexible, adaptable and positive attitude to working in a structured environment
  • good communication skills to promote and develop effective working with pupils and colleagues

MDSA (Midday Supervisor Assistant)

Up to 5 hours a week, 12-1pm, Monday – Friday, Term time only.

We are looking for an MDSA to join our friendly and valued team to supervise the children during their lunch hour every day of the school week.  Duties will include supervising children whilst they are having lunch in the dining halls to ensure a smooth lunch service.  You will also be required to encourage positive play and activities both outdoors on the playground or field and indoors on wet weather days. We are looking for someone who is:

  • a good communicator
  • fair and has the ability to reinforce positive behaviour
  • able to make playtime fun for all children
  • experienced working with children (preferable but not essential)
