Job Vacancy: 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Salary: Grade E Scale Point 6 – 8 depending on experience.
Hours: Zero hours, likely to be 30.5 hours, per week initially.Term time only

We are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and well-established team. The role is to provide 1:1 support for a named child with additional needs. This is a zero hours contract that initially is likely to be for 30.5 hours a week, during school term time only. There is potential for flexibility for the right candidate and the possibility of job sharing. We would invite applicants to make contact with the school to discuss further if interested.
We are looking for someone with:
• experience of working with children
• a willingness to undertake additional training
• skills of empathy, listening, communication and responding with appropriate language to build rapport with children
• confidence to support children with complex needs in their personal care
• a flexible, adaptable and positive attitude to working in a structured environment
• good communication skills to promote and develop effective working with pupils and colleagues

Please note that leave must be taken when the school is not in session.
